Richard Hill will be teaching this one day advanced practitioner therapeutic technique and approach in London.
Mirroring hands takes you and the client the next step toward healing and resolution by utilizing the connection between the outer and inner self to stimulate our natural problem-solving and mind-body healing. Mindfulness has emerged to help us re-locate our sense of safety, peace and self connection, which can be broken by both personal trauma and difficulty, and by the disruptive difficulties of the modern world.
Mirroring Hands is the natural progression for those who have been working with Mindfulness and in the fields of promoting mental and emotional health.
Certificate III – Advanced Practice
The Practitioner’s Guide to Mirroring Hands:A Client-Responsive Therapy that Facilitates
Natural Problem-solving and Mind-Body Healing
by Richard Hill and Ernest Rossi
Session 1 – Implementing MH into Practice
We discuss the ways MH has been introduced to clients and how they have responded. We will explore the problems and how these have emerged in relation to “client responsiveness”.
Session 2 – Managing Request for Specific Issues
We explore the use of Mirroring Hands for specific issues including habits, phobias, pain, negative beliefs, pain, sleeplessness and weight loss.
Session 3 – Language Principles and New Forms.
Demonstration and practice of additional forms including scaling and the “Buddha” technique. A deeper exploration and discussion of language techniques enables participants to share unique experiences and developments from their own practice of MH.
Session 4 – Demonstrations and Discussion
Select participants will conduct demonstrations followed by a sensitive discussion of the process and progress of the experience. Improvisation of the technical elements in response to client needs will be explored. A final group process will be shared with the instructor.
The overall objective is to explore advanced practice of the Mirroring Hands approach and therapeutic practice. This includes:
Managing specific requests from clients
How Mirroring Hands can be implemented into general practice
Group demonstration and practice of advanced forms
Advanced language principles
Advanced development of “sensitive observation”
Working with children, the elderly and unique clients
This full day workshop deepens the practitioner’s understanding of the practical application of Mirroring Hands. The participants will engage in discussion about how their practice has evolved. There will be practical demonstrations by participants as well as group practices of new forms. We will learn how to manage specific requests from the client for behaviors, habits, phobias, pain, sleep and other common issues. Other topics for deeper discussion and learning are around language principles and improvisation.
