Introduction to Clinical Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy
The Certificate in Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) is a single module course that introduces you to the basic concepts of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. You will learn about the history and theories of hypnosis and the current therapeutic approaches which make up the practice of hypnotherapy. In addition, you will learn and experience hypnotic communications and techniques, that will allow you to effectively hypnotise someone and safely manage their hypnotic trance experience. You will also learn self hypnosis and how you can use this in your daily life to help you with your own personal self development.
Learning hypnosis is an experiential process, therefore you learn by doing; both hypnotising someone and being hypnotised. The 2 day practical course gives you an opportunity to practice the techniques that you have learned on the course, share your experiences and interface with other students. During the course you will be practically assessed, and once you have passed your online course components and met the 4 hours of tutor support you will be awarded a Certificate in Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) in Clinical Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. Hypnotic scripts and video demonstrations of the techniques from the course will also be made available to you.
This introductory course module is the first of ten modules which makes up a complete programme of learning, leading to an advanced Practitioner's Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. Once you complete the introductory level module you can progress onto the more advanced certificate and diploma practitioner level modules which include hypno-analysis and psycho-dynamic hypnotherapy, behavioural hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy and other specialist topic areas of hypnosis and hypnotherapy.
Completing this introductory course will provide you with enough information to help you decide whether or not you want to pursue further training in hypnosis and hypnotherapy. If you decide not to further your studies, then what you learn from this course will be useful and beneficial to your own personal development, which you can apply throughout your everyday personal and professional life.
